Lastest news out of the Hollywood trash bin is that the original "Friday" duo (Ice Cube and Chris Tucker) are in talks to do a 4th installement of the Friday movie franchise (if you can call it that). Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the original hip-hop stoner concept of two buddies getting high and trying to make it through a day and hijinks ensue but do we need to see further adventures of these two buddies? Ironically Chris Tucker bowed out of the second movie because he suddenly gained huge success in Hollywood after the 1st "Rush Hour "(demanding 20-25 million a picture). With Tucker bowing out comedian Mike Epps stepped in as Craig's stupid cousin Day Day and went on to appear in the 2nd and 3rd installement, which for some god awful reason made money (60 mil and 30 mil). Either way the rumor mill is that Mr Tucker is in a little bit of financial trouble with a housing foreclosure, which may be the sincere reason he is eyeing the project after annoucning years prior that he would never do another "Friday" movie. So Geekdom fans we will have to see if Cube and Tucker still have the magic or will it be just aother flop film about two old (now rich in real life) stoners trying to see another day. -D
