This last week New Line Cinemas announced that a film adaptation of the "Rampage" video game was in development with producer John Rickard looking for someone to pen this thought provoking and provocative story. For those of you are unfamiliar with the concept of "Rampage" it centers on through 3 lowly people who are experimented on by a evil science group called Scumlab which causes them to mutate into specific animal of a giant ape, a wolf, and a lizard. This story has Troma Studios written all over it but New Line must be aiming for new fan base; the B-D list movies that get released to DVD.

Either way I thought it would be fun to see out of the other infamous people named "Rampage" who really deserves a movie:
First up is the "I'm Busta Rhymes cousin" the rapper Rampage. A prominent member of Busta's Flip Mode Squad, Rampage released his debut album back in 1997 Scout's Honor...by way of Blood and did not release another solo album until 2006. While Busta was signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath label and released a hit album in 2006; Rampage was left floating with his second solo album and and mixtape that I don't think anyone knew came out. To tell you the truth all the recent shit on Rampage I had to look up on wikipedia. Second contender is Rampage Jackson. An amazing fighter in the UFC who traded in his electric fighting dominance for a shot at Hollywood stardom and a coveted role in the A-Team film playing B.A. Baracus who was once played by Mr. T. Alas Mr Jackson's A-Team movie was a dud and Jackson lost miserably to both Rashad Evans (after talking much shit on Ultimate Fighter) and Jon Jones.
All and all it looks like out of the three, "Rampage" the video game should at least get a shot at mainstream stardom, because someone has the keep the namesake Rampage going strong. And it won't be these guys: (Other characters name Rampage)- D
